Prediction results

Sorry this one took some time to post. I haven't had much time to get behind the PC this week. But here are those long awaited results:

Currie Cup

Sharks to beat WP. That they did. It was more like a hammering! Result - RIGHT

Bulls to beat the Lions. Me of little faith. The Lions were roaring like never before. Thank goodness the game was not 5 minutes longer though. Result - WRONG

Cheetahs to beat Griquas. A given. Result - RIGHT

Cavaliers to beat the Valke. A tough one to call. The scoreline would agree. Result - RIGHT

Community Shield

Man United to beat Portsmouth. Got to go with the defending league champions. Went to penalties in the end. Result - RIGHT

If you didn't know me you would think I was a pro at this prediction thing. Don't worry, the going is good. It won't last long though. I'm excited about the start of the Premiership Football League starting this weekend. Now you will see just how wrong I can be...

What on Earth Happened????

So I made a couple of predictions this past weekend. 6 to be exact. I was away for the weekend doing the Kruger half marathon (which was awesome by the way) and did not follow or manage to get all the results till late on Sunday evening. I managed to get some right - 6 to be exact! Thats right, a FULL HOUSE!!! What on Earth Happened????

So here are the results to my predictions if you perhaps missed them.

Tri - Nations
Nz to beat the Aussies. They totally outplayed them by the looks of things or if you go by the score line. Result - RIGHT

Currie Cup
Bulls to beat the Valke. The Bulls were always going to be to strong for the Valke at home. Result - RIGHT
Sharks to beat the Griquas. Not too hard to pick. Sharks just a certain winner here. Result - RIGHT
Cheetahs to beat the Cavaliers. Once again a certainty . the defending champions at home would prove to be way to strong for the visitors. Result - RIGHT
Lions to beat WP. You have to admit that if one was going to get away this weekend it would have to be this one. The Lions are starting to put together a string of well deserved and well earned, overdue wins. Keep it up boys! Result - RIGHT

Cricket
SA to beat England. A fine performance from our captain (SMITHY) led to a first series win in England in 43 years. Well Done boys. Nail the coffin closed in the final test. This would start KP test captain career off to a cracking start. Result - RIGHT

So that's it for the past weekend. Don't go holding your breath for it to be repeated again this weekend.

Times of change????

Another weekend has passed and that means time for a look at the weekends sporting predictions and results. 4 out of 5!!!! Yes you read it right, 4 out of 5!

Tri Nations
Aus to beat Nz. Didn't watch the game, as I went to watch the Man Utd game, but got the result. The Aussies put one over Nz, making Nz lose two games in a row, which hasn't happened in years. The result - RIGHT

Currie Cup
Cheetahs to beat the Valke. The defending champions put up a performance of note, and beat the Valke, who the other big teams have battled with this season. The Result - RIGHT

Cavaliers to beat WP. With WP struggling the last two weeks, I thought this was a done deal. WP didn't think so, and put in a classy performance to silence the critics and throw my prediction right off course. The result - WRONG

Sharks to beat the Lions. Being a Lions supporter this was difficult not to predict with the heart, but I had to go with the mind. The Sharks prevailed although be it by quite a narrow margin. The result - RIGHT

Vodacom Challenge
Man Utd to beat Kaizer Chiefs. I had the privilege of going to the game. What an awesome time it was. Man Utd never really broke out into a sweat and lifted the trophy. The result - RIGHT

Look out for the next set of predictions as I might just be on a role!

Back on the losing way....

So another weekend has passed and that means time to reflect on the sports predictions I made. What a bad job! 2 out of 5. Hope nobody put any money on these results.

Tri Nations
South Africa to beat Australia. South didn't even find the end of the tunnel at the beginning of the second half, nevermind the field. Result - WRONG

Currie Cup
WP to beat the Valke. The Valke are starting to be a force to reckon with at home. The WP did not perform too well however they woke up close to the end of the game and nearly pulled it off. However it was all in vain. Result - WRONG
Bulls to beat the Cavaliers. Good on me. However this one did not need a rocket scientist to figure out. Result - RIGHT
Lions to beat Griquas. A closely contested affair, but I managed to get this one. This puts the Lions second on the log behind the Bulls. Result - RIGHT
Sharks to beat the Cheetahs. The Cheetahs were too strong for the Sharks. Also a hard team to beat at home. Result - WRONG

So once again not a good showing on my half. Look forward to trying again next weekend. Lookout for the predictions for the weekends games during the course of the week when you can go to the bookies and put down your salary check based on my results!

Prediction results

Well a better week this week, not so many mistakes. 3out of 5.

Tri Nations : So I predicted the All Blacks to go on and beat us, and I had history on my side. If you read the prediction you would of seen the happy face at the end. That's because my blood is still ultimately GREEN. So when the Boks came away with an emphatic win, I was not too sad to get this one wrong. Result - WRONG

Currie Cup.

Sharks beat the Valke. As planned, not to much could go wrong here. A pretty safe bet. Result - RIGHT.
Lions beat the Cavaliers. Once again a pretty safe bet. You would not have said so after the first half, but all was good in the end. Result - RIGHT
Griquas beat WP. So this is the other one that got away from me. I was sure that this reult was going to be reversed. I know of one person in particular that is not going to be happy about this one. Result - WRONG
Bulls beat the Cheetahs. A tough one to call, but the Bulls at home is always going to be hard hard nut to crack. Result - RIGHT

All in all, a good weekend. Till next week. Look out for this weeks predictions coming soon!

Prediction results

2 out of 7. Not a good result if it was a test at school.

Tri Nations - That's what started the rot in the predictions. South Africa lost the opening match of the Tri Nations. The end result - WRONG

Curry Cup - Griquas and Cavaliers played to a draw. The end result - WRONG
The Lions beat the Valke. My first prediction I managed to get right. Mind you it didn't take a rocket scientist to get this one right. The end result - RIGHT
WP beat the Cheetahs. Things were starting to look up, two right in a row. The end result - RIGHT
The Sharks up against the Bulls, all started to go pear shaped again, and never recovered. The Bulls go and beat the Sharks. The end result - WRONG

Wimbledon - The woman's final - Venus continued the rot beating Serena in an all Williams final. The end result - WRONG
The men's final - It was all doom and gloom after the first two sets, then The FED starting the fight back, and what a fight back it was. Coming back to two sets all and fighting off three Championship points. All in vain unfortunately as Rafa finally put pay to a 65match winning streak on grass for Federer, and a sixth consecutive Wimbledon title. But what a match it was... The end result - WRONG

So till the next predictions come out. Cheers!
