Awesome weekend....

So this weekend was totally awesome for me. I have been totally spoilt in my terms (and my wife's). Thanks Love!

To start off with school holidays started off on Friday, which means that I get a chance to spend time with the family and not have to worry too much about work for the next two weeks at least.

Secondly, on Saturday I spent the day at Kyalami, those that know a little about motorsport will know all about Kyalami (South Africa's premier motor racing circuit). More about this in another post, with photo's.

And, thirdly I got to go and watch the second twenty/20 international between South Africa and Australia. South Africa won the first match on Friday night, quite nail biting, but did it any way. You would expect Australia to come out fighting in the second and final challenge in the twenty/20 format of the game, which they did. However SA seem to be on top form and produced the goods, and produced the goods they did. Now for the ODI's!!!!

The countdown...

The holiday is just around the corner. 32 days!
Yip, that's right about a month to go. I spent last night chatting to one of my old school buddies who has moved to the UK(11 years ago) and that got me excited about my upcoming UK holiday. Not that I wasn't excited already. Now I'm even more so. I surfed the net to find info on where we are going to be staying . It is going to be a total blast.

It turns out my old school buddy owns a wine shop that is 0.2 miles away from the hotel we are staying in. I'll definitely be stopping by!

Today is my brother in-laws birthday. A big Happy Birthday to you... 37 today!

Catch up...

Just a short note to keep up to date with the goings on in Miller land... a chance to catch up!

This past week has been rather busy, with Adam's birthday, a birthday party, family lunch, work and the coffee business. This weekend was rather hectic, well Saturday at least. We arranged a party for Adam at 3pm on Saturday afternoon. The lapa cleaned, chairs set out, TV for the football and rugby games that afternoon and the braai ready for being fired up for later.
All was going extremely well until 2.45pm when the heavens literally opened and the rain came down, came down, came down and just kept on coming down. The rain continued till well after the party was over. My wife was doing the stress thing as things were not as she planned it, and now we had about 30 people in our house (not my wifes plan)! All went well and I think everybody enjoyed themselves.

The British holiday is drawing nearer and nearer. 35 days to go!!!! As you may be aware, we had to apply for a visa to visit the UK as a South African citizen. All the paperwork was done, photo's taken, a trip to Sandton and the application made. The visa's arrived today, so all is falling into place quite nicely. The excitement is growing even more now. Still not time to pack though. I'll have to wait a couple of more days for that I guess.

Keep watching for more updates....

Our little one turns 1...

Today was a very special day in our household....

Adam turned 1....

Yip, our little one turned a year old. Today we spent some time remembering how we were preparing for his arrival. Then we remember how much joy he has brought us over the past year. Our household will never be the same again.

A few days ago, literally a few, he started taking his first steps and is now up to about 10 steps at a time without aid.

Happy 1st Birthday Adam!

Although it was Adam's birthday today another special BIRTH day was taking place. My wife's best friend from school Penelope and her husband Richard welcomed Luke into the world today. He was due to be born in about a week or so's time but today was his day.... Welcome Luke!

Today IS a very special day!

The weekend...

Friday was a busy day as I had to rush from a meeting for school and then tackle the Friday afternoon traffic through to Bedfordview to see the company that has contracted us to supply them with coffee and machines as spoken about previously.

Saturday was the CANSA Shavathon day - an initiative whereby you shave off or colour your hair in support of those who have cancer. So in support I shaved my hair. Not entirely off but short.
My wife had a funday at school all day Saturday so the kids and I wondered on down to support the school function. Loads of fun was had by all. Well done love, I know it was a long day for you!

Today was a braai for my Dad's birthday. We spent time with my brother, which I don't do often, but when I do I am always guaranteed of a laugh. Today was no different!

Now I'm off to sleep as another busy week is apon me. Good luck for your week ahead, I hope it is a good one.... especially for my broer who starts a new job tomorrow.

Training

Yesterday was a big day as it was the first day to visit the client and gain a bit more knowledge on how the coffee machines all work. Not that daunting after all. It all seems pretty simple, and so far the client is happy with the machines that have been delivered so far.

Training was given to the cleaning staff at the client , as they are the ones who need to fill the machines and clean them ona daily basis. All seemed to go well.... not too much can go wrong with them, they are pretty basic and not too complicated.

I look forward to this venture more and more everyday!!!!!

My company email address became active today, so that was also an exciting happening for today. I also received a delivery note book, which makes this so very real.

Coffee, coffee and more coffee is what is swirling around my mind.....

This weekend has been wonderful. I got to go to the cricket test match between South Africa and Australia at the Wanderers. I went on Saturday and Sunday.

Test matches have really become exciting of late, especially with the top two teams in the world doing battle for supremacy! Every match has its ups and downs or both teams. Tomorrow is the final day of this particular match(battle), and we have to head off to work. South Africa have the opportunity of winning, but will have to bat out of their shoes.

it is not only the cricket that has been good, my wife sacrificed a weekend to give me time to be selfish and do what I wanted to do - Thank you! I owe you Big time!
