It was the first time that Devon attended a live football match. I don't think he knew what to expect being 3 years old. Walking down to the stadium was a laugh a minute as Gramps bought Devon a Vavuvusela. Devon could not blow it properly (as this takes quite a bit of practice), so he proceeded to shout into it. Everyone around us was quite amused at this little mite in a Man Utd shirt with his name on (thanks to Gramps) blowing , sorry shouting into this vavuvusela.
We stopped for photo's outside the stadium, as this was his first time, this attracted the TV cameras over o have a peek.
Once in the stadium and at our seats the teams came out to warm up. He knows his team (Man U) play in red. MU goalkeepers came out to warm up wearing red shirts, all was well. the rest of the team came out to warm up wearing white shirts. Devon was a little concerned and asked, "Is there only two Man Uniteds?". He was a lot happier when the game started and MU were wearing red.
Every time the bloke behind us blew his vavuvusela Devon replied by shouting into his. This seemed to be entertainment to all in sundry. I think he had a blast. Arms were raised and shouting continued when the goals were scored. It was great to experience his first game with him!
Kyle had a blast as well, but this was not his first match, he saw them two years ago. He thoroughly enjoyed seeing ROONEY and most of all TEVEZ. Thanks once again Dad for giving the children the opportunity to experience it.
